Trader Joe’s Refresh Citrus Body Wash is an average cleanser with a nice clean scent at a very low price of 3.99.

The list of botanical ingredients looks amazing, until I got to the bottom and saw two parabens listed. Methylparaben and propylparaben. Also included is Lauramide DEA which is a moderate hazard to organ health. The soaping agent sodium c14-16 olefin sulfonate is apparently a low toxicity chemical, so kudos to TJ’s for including that in the formula.

It’s too bad because this is also 100% biodegradable and not tested on animals! Darn!

The phrase ‘not worth the calories’ when eating average or below average treats comes to mind – this wash is not worth the chemicals exposure. My bottle of Refresh body wash is going back to Trader Joe’s!
